NFTiles are born as a minimalist exploration of the existing world of tokens. They are an attempt to transform the generative into the manual, so each of them is carefully designed (without code or generative software) and thought to fulfill an aesthetic purpose, reflecting attributes such as color, simplicity and balance through the imagery of a button or badge.
The Tiles work in a dual/performatic kind of way, in which every "Regular Tile" has a matching counterpart or "Ghost Tile" that shares the same color in a different tonal value (usually paler than its double).
Ghost Tiles can be identified because of their open mouth. Having both, the "Regular Tile" and its "Ghost" counterpart assures you owning that specific color value.
As the world of NFTs grows, we have begun to develop graphic awareness skills, collecting, saving and exchanging images. Generating, like some sort of L'Atlas mnémosyne* our own collection of imagery and signs.
NFTiles is just one more voice or path on this journey of collecting and sharing. Aiming to offer a set of different and accessible signs for every kind of collector.

Each NFTile is carefully crafted using design software instead of generative code, this means that every single Tile was handled individually, every color combination was thoughtfully planned (color theory based) following basic principles of graphic design.
NFTiles are SVG files stored as ERC-1155 tokens on the Polygon blockchain. Since they are not programmatically generated the collection will consist of a very limited supply (at least for season 1). This initial season will consist only of 160 Tiles.
We know this can sound like too little collectibles but we really believe in the design process, in the value of each Tile being surrounded by dedication and care from the moment it is designed and until it reaches the hands (and eyes) of our community.
Why choosing an NFTile among the millions of NFT options that already exist nowadays? Well that's kind of a tricky question. We wanted to explore the NFT world through the lense of a simple but everlasting design, something that could transform into some sort of symbol, charged with meaning. Giving our collectors the possibility to choose that meaning.
Maybe you are a designer, trying to discover an NFT that is aligned with basic design principles, maybe you don't give a sh*t about design. Perhaps you just like to find a simple yet beautiful NFT to use as a profile picture, or you just find this little tiles intriguing enough to give them a try. The only thing we can assure you is that we will do our very best to give you the most incredible NFT experience.
We are a designers duo (she and he) looking to experiment with an aesthetic experience in the world of NFTs. We are both lovers of typographic design, brand manuals, smooth simple animations, ceramics, video games, and fresh unpitted olives.
As designers we know that creating something totally new out from thin air is nearly impossible, instead we rely on process and iteration.
